How we handle personal data collected through this website.
Last updated August 2026
Who we are
Wild Capital Limited is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is Lynton House, 7–12 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9BQ.
What we collect
Personal data you give us through the enquiry forms, and limited technical data collected automatically when you visit.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, organisation, email, telephone | When you submit an enquiry form | To respond, and if you become a client, to manage the relationship |
| Site postcode, planning reference, scheme details | When you request a quote | To assess whether we can serve the scheme and prepare a quotation |
| Uploaded biodiversity metric files | When you attach one to a quote request | To calculate what mitigation the development requires |
| Firm details | When you apply for partner access | To assess and set up a partner account |
| IP address, browser, pages visited | Automatically, on every visit | Security, and understanding how the site is used |
Metric files
Metric files often contain detailed information about a site and may relate to a scheme that is not yet public. We store uploaded files privately, restrict access to the team assessing your enquiry, and do not publish, share or use them for any purpose other than responding to you.
Our lawful basis
- Legitimate interests for responding to business enquiries, assessing whether we can supply a scheme, and operating our business.
- Contract where you become a client or partner and we need your data to perform the agreement.
- Consent for marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Legal obligation where we must retain records for tax, accounting or regulatory purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where necessary: with service providers who host our website, email and customer records, acting on our instructions under contract; with professional advisers where relevant to a transaction; with regulators, planning authorities or Natural England where a scheme requires it; and with law enforcement or courts where legally required. Where a provider processes data outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed: up to 24 months.
- Client and partner records: the life of the relationship and seven years afterwards.
- Uploaded metric files: deleted within 12 months of the enquiry closing unless the scheme proceeds.
- Records relating to long-term mitigation obligations: for the duration of the obligation, because we must be able to evidence delivery.
Your rights
You can access your personal data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and request a portable copy. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email info@wild-capital.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
