Biodiversity units for a hyperscale data centre
For a hyperscale data centre operator, we delivered units and bespoke habitat together against a construction schedule, and Wild Capital holds the long-term obligation.

The constraint
A hyperscale site with a construction programme that could not wait for a conventional off-site procurement, and a biodiversity requirement that standard stock in the area could not fully meet.
What we did
Registered units allocated immediately for the part of the requirement our estate already covered. The remainder created to order on land we secured, with the whole package documented as one allocation for the authority and the obligation held by us.
Relevance for other data centre operators
One counterparty
Registered units and bespoke creation come under one agreement, with one set of documents and one party to diligence.
Programme first
The mitigation was delivered to the build schedule, rather than the build waiting for the mitigation.
Confidential
The client’s name, the site and the commercial terms are withheld, and the client decides what is published.
Large site enquiries
We’re happy to sign an NDA first. Then send us the site, the conditions and the date, and within a week you’ll have one schedule and one price.
